Anonymize documents in minutes, not hours
Hunting through a long document for every ID or account number by eye is slow, and it's easy to miss one. The detector reads the text of every page and automatically flags the personal data it finds: email addresses, phone numbers, credit cards (checking that the number is valid), IBANs, ID numbers such as SSN, passport numbers, DNI, NIE or CURP, and other long numbers.
You can also search for specific words, like a name or an address. Review the suggested blocks, remove or add any you want, and when you apply the redaction the affected pages are turned into images: the text underneath is truly removed. Everything happens in your browser.
How to redact personal data automatically, step by step
- 1
Select the PDF. The detector scans every page as soon as it opens.
- 2
Review the suggested blocks: remove anything that isn't sensitive with ×, draw anything missing or search for specific words.
- 3
Apply the redaction and download the anonymized PDF.
Frequently asked questions
What data does it detect?
Email addresses, phone numbers, credit and debit cards, IBANs, ID numbers (SSN, passports, DNI, NIE, CURP, national IDs, tax IDs) and other long numbers, plus any words you enter.
Does it work with scanned documents?
It needs selectable text. If your PDF is a scan, run it through the OCR tool first, then through the detector.
Can I trust the detection blindly?
No. It's a powerful aid, but it may miss unusual formats or flag numbers that aren't personal. Always review every page before sharing the document.
